Sunday 12th June
After a southerly gale with rain today, I slipped out to the seafront with the Mrs for a half-hearted look at the sea. A dozen Manx Shearwater, 20+ Kittiwake a few Gannet and the odd Fulmar were the highlights. A walk along the beach produced a surprise in the form of a 2nd Summer Glaucous Gull, assumed to be the same bird I had back in April. The most noticeable change in plumage are the new median coverts - See photos of same bird in April here: http://www.creamteabirding.blogspot.com/2011/04/bruiser.html
Good work Chris, they are monsters !
