Desert Storm

The group were keen to add Desert Wheatear to their year lists, so we headed to Aberdeenshire for the day where the  snow had hit quite hard, but the Desert Wheatear still hangs on at Rattray Head, the nearest thing to a Moroccan Desert! It was blowing a SE hooley at the time, but this hardy bird seemed quite unperturbed choosing to be in the brunt of it rather than the more sheltered dunes.
Don't forget to click on the pics and make 'em big!
