Thursday 15th January 2009

Managed to slip out for a couple of hours today and try for the Penduline Tit at Clennon Valley Lakes. Despite the bad forecast, the rain held off and the bird was on view as soon as I got there with the usual Digiscoping Paparazzi! Worrying that now most birders are photographers and as much as I tell myself to just watch and study the bird, I just cannot help myself trying to get a good shot. Anyway, managed to get a photo and study the bird as it gleaned insects/grubs from the reed stems - A little corker. Only negative of the day was there was no time for tea or cake!
