Visited the patch this morning and not much in the way of new migrants but 12 Whimbrel on the rocks and 9 Pale-bellied Brent Geese west and 2 Diver sp also west. However, a visit this afternoon with a fresh South-Easterly produced a real cracker in the form of a female MONTAGU'S HARRIER!! This was a real shocker, as when I first found the bird it was circling slowly above the Cricket Pitch just 30M above the ground - Fantastic! It circled slowly and then literally floated away to the north. I then jumped on my bike and tried (rather optimistically) to re-locate it and in doing so then found a RED KITE. Days on the patch don't get much better than that, so I think I have had my luck for a while!
