Tuesday 20th April
Some good migrants today. Highlights were 7 Whimbrel west, 1 Common Sandpiper on the river Otter, 14 Wheatear (9 on the Cricket Pitch in the morning and 5 on the coastal fields in the afternoon), 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Whitethroat, 2 Redstart (both females - 1 just north of the cricket pitch in the morning - Thanks for the patch tick Doug! The 2nd, a brighter bird that I stumbled across on the east side of the Otter in the afternoon). Also today, an Orange Tip butterfly.
