Lyme Bay White-beaked Dolphins

Friday 22nd July
Joined a number of volunteers on a Marine Life Research boat in Lyme Bay today and enjoyed a fantastic day with White-beaked Dolphins. A cracking marine mammal thought to be the most southerly resident population in the world.
Highlights included:

8 White-beaked Dolphin
3 Harbour Porpoise
850 Manx Shearwater

4 Balearic Shearwater
5 Great Skua

1 Arctic Skua
1 Pomarine Skua

    Good to hear from you. To be honest these days,pretty much all my pics are digi-scoped as I have refrained going down the SLR route as I will spend too much cash! The White-beak trip, I actually took my old trusty Sony Cybershot, but the animals were on the end of your boot!
    Enjoying the new blog by the way and love your recent photos from Finland. Be good to have a proper chat sometime. Hope all is well.
