Gripped on the Patch!

Saturday 23rd July
Had a phone call early this morning from Clive, which I knew meant only one thing, he had found a rare bird on the Otter! An adult Rose-coloured Starling!
I shot off on my bike only to find the bird had departed and despite looking for two hours and again this evening, it was never seen again. Never mind tomorrow is another day!

The Cattle Egret continued to perform well and the now reliable Glaucous Gull remains on the beach. Also today a Yellow Wagtail over, 2 Redshank on the Otter and a juvenile Shelduck.
