MOROCCO - High Atlas

Our first full day on the Wise Birding Holidays Morocco Tour was spent in the High Atlas and we were treated to a wonderful day's birding. Highlights were many, but included 4 Levaillant's Woodpecker, 30+ Crimson-winged Finch, 40+ Horned Lark, numerous swirling Red-billed Chough and Yellow-billed Chough, an unexpected Brambling and of course the spectacular scenery!
It seemed we were just that bit too early for the hoped for Seebohm's Wheatear (race of Northern Wheatear), but we got lucky with a migrant later in the tour
