Seabirds still maintain the interest locally and Scilly kicks off the Autumn!

The Balearic Shearwaters continue to be the main interest on the patch during the last few days with up to 60 bird sitting on the sea along with a flock of 150 Kittiwake. Recent highlights have been:

Thursday 15th September

Yellow Wagtail - 6 Whinchat - 1 GN Diver - 1

Friday 16th September
Arctic Skua - 2

Saturday 17th September

Meanwhile, the Scillies has exploded with yank passerines today. A
Northern Waterthrush and a Black-and-White Warbler. Takes me back to 1996! Might be a nice day trip on the cards?
