Thursday 17th December
Managed to slip the last hour of daylight in at the patch today. Not much new despite the freezing cold weather! William and the Blackwit were still present on the cricket pitch as well as the usual Wigeon and Teal, plus 1 Little Egret and 1 Kingfisher. A few "tweedy types" shooting pheasants at the top end of the estuary. Never really get pheasant shooting, it's not as if they are known for being really intelligent animals that are really hard to shoot!

Maybe the continued cold snap will bring something unusual tomorrow??
