Stilll no Bittern

Wednesday 13th January
A brief stop at Woodbury produced the hoped for Brambling including a few cracking males in with the chaffinches, probably 5+ in total, though at least 20+ were present earlier in the day. I also managed to sneak in a late visit to the Otter this afternoon hoping for a roosting Bittern, but still no joy. However, a Mink was a nice surprise from the bridge as it swam down river and 2 Coot were a good patch tick!
The Fieldfare is still hogging the apples in the front garden!

  3. Jaff, turned over at half-time to see Packham stringing your Mipit for Pied Wagtail, helluva lot more entertaining than watching Liverpool. You should add an "as seen on TV" subtitle to the blog.
